The Products of Boredom

What are the products of boredom? This blog, of course!

I have no idea what I'm going to say pretty much. I mean, I'm making this cause I have nothing better to do. So basically, I will ramble on about whatever comes to mind and you WILL enjoy it. K?

So, Colorado. Well, meh. That sums up my feelings so far. The people here are weird (yes, I've talked to a lot of you about it and yes, I am getting used to it). Yesterday I met a kid who summarized the difference sizes and lengths of cigars in 5 minutes. What was I doing at the time? My laundry. Did I ask him to tell me about various cigar girths? No. Don't get me wrong, he seemed nice and all, but I was confused to say the least.

At least my roommate is cool though. He is this West Virginian who is chill about everything. Me, him and our neighbor in the dorm went to a local brewery to take a tour. It's this place called New Belgium and they use state of the art equipment to make their process sustainable. We weren't actually to go on a tour since they were 'sold' out (you don't have to pay but you need a ticket) so we settled for sitting at the bar and getting free samples. Yes, you can walk in and get 4 free samples! It was absolutely wonderful especially since one of their beers, Old Cherry, was one of the best beers I've ever tasted. I liked the place so much I bought a shirt. =)

Now, FUCK THE INTERNET. The internet here as CSU is entirely worthless. It was working fine in my dorm until one day they decide to try to 'upgrade' the server or something. At first it didn't work at all. I would open up Firefox and be redirected to a page where I needed to input a visitor ID and password. I would do that and they it would crap out and say the connected timed out or it couldn't find the server. After talking to my neighbor and complaining about it to her, she said that she had to reset her IP to get it to work. Well, that worked for me to. But. I need to do that EVERY SINGLE TIME I get online! In addition, my email hasn't been working for the past couple days though I think this is Cornell's fault since when I sign in through Kerberos it says there is an 'unexpected email outage'. Having an 'unexpected email outage' is a pretty big deal especially when I do basically all of my communication with my grad student and professor through email. Take your time though, Cornell, it's not like people need email or anything. AANNNNDDDDDDDDDDDDD on top of all that Bodog stopped working on the dorm and library internets so I can't even play poker now. This is especially aggravating since I was on pace to have my best month ever and it was only a week into June. I would go ahead an email Bodog support but oh, MY EMAIL ISN'T WORKING! It's so annoying that I would rather have my kidney beaten with a lead candlestick than deal with an internet like this. ALKSJDFHALKSJDFH

Sigh...
